About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Vingnes Boat Harbour is a small marina on Lake Mjøsa, Norway's largest lake, on the east side of the Vingnesodden headland near the village of Vingnes, which lies on the western shore of Mjøsa directly opposite the town of Lillehammer. The harbour is the home port of Lillehammer Båtforening, a sailing club with around 200 members.
Approaching from the east, follow the markings to the new, long guest pier; there is room for about 10-15 guest berths, with additional space available as the water level in Mjøsa rises toward summer. Enter slowly behind the breakwater due to stern waves. The harbour also has a boat ramp, where non-members pay a small fee per launch while members launch for free, with payment made in a cash box at the clubhouse.
The pier offers electricity, fresh water and wifi. Toilets and showers are available with entrance on the west side of the clubhouse, along with a waste container and pump-out facilities for holding tanks. The harbour area has benches and a barbecue area for free use, as well as a playground and parking. About 200 metres from the harbour you'll find a grocery store and a fuel station, with a café, kiosk and restaurant within walking distance.
Vingnes has a swimming spot close to the harbour, and in summer the historic paddle steamer Skibladner calls here. The village is linked to the town of Lillehammer by a bridge on the E6 highway.
