About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Vorma Båthavn is run by the Vorma boat club and is centrally located at Sundet in Eidsvoll municipality, on the river Vorma, with Eidsvoll train station as its nearest neighbour. The club also operates a second harbour at Ørbekk further south on Lake Mjøsa, but the Sundet harbour is the central one of the two.
You can find your way to the harbour by following signs towards Tinghus and Skibladnerbryggen. Note that the season is short, since Mjøsa and Vorma are drained of water every winter — the season only starts once there is enough water at the piers, typically in May or early June. After the spring flood, which can occur around the Whitsun holiday, it is recommended to wait before launching, and the harbour must be cleared of boats by 15 October.
At the southernmost guest pier there is access to pump-out, shower, toilet and a washing machine, as well as drinking water. Power and water are available at most of the other guest berths. Just south of the harbour there is a slipway that is free to use for everyone, while larger boats are lifted out at Skjoldnestangen on the town-centre side by the bridge.
It's a short walk to shops and restaurants from the harbour, which lies right in the centre of Eidsvoll. Tie up at one of the guest berths in Sundet, use the free slipway just south of the harbour, and stroll the short distance into town for shops and restaurants.
