About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Vuosaaren Venekerho is a members' club with its home harbour in Pikku Kallahti in Vuosaari, eastern Helsinki, plus two island outposts, Onas and Särkilahti, out in the Finnish archipelago. The home harbour holds more than 200 boats across five piers with both stern-buoy and finger-berth moorings.
The approach to Särkilahti runs through the Fallholmen-Hamholmen strait, where you must follow the yellow triangular markers and watch out for rocks; the channel has a depth of about 2 metres, and boats moor to stern buoys or anchor. The harbours are for club members and their families only; guests can only be brought along by prior arrangement with the island host.
The home harbour offers electricity and water points on the piers, a fenced hauling and storage area with a mast crane at pier 3, communal boat lifts, a waste and hazardous-waste station, and a septic tank pump-out point run by the City of Helsinki right next to the harbour, plus a clubhouse in an old villa. Särkilahti has electricity, a sauna, a tool shed, a grill hut, a woodshed, a fish-cleaning spot, two outhouses and rowing boats, while Onas has a pier with stern buoys, a sauna building with washing and fireplace rooms, a gas grill, tables and an outhouse.
At Särkilahti the nearest shops are in Kabböle about 8 nautical miles away and in Tirmo about 7 nautical miles, with Lovisa around 18 nautical miles off.
