About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Watersportvereniging de Pettelaer (WVP) is a sailing club founded in 1972, located on the Zuiderplas next to Het Bossche Broek in 's-Hertogenbosch. The club offers sailing and windsurfing courses for both adults and youth and is affiliated with the Watersportverbond.
This is a members' club without public guest berths; berths are assigned to members by the harbourmaster according to boat type. Larger keelboats lie in the water in the harbour during the sailing season (1 April–31 October), while smaller boats, dinghies, Optimists and surfboards are stored on trailers or racks on the club grounds. Prices vary by boat type and season, ranging from around 15-20 euros for half a winter season up to 100 euros for a keelboat in the harbour during summer.
Each berth comes with a locker for gear such as life jackets and sails in the club's storage building, plus tubes for storing masts and booms that don't fit under the boat cover. The club has its own clubhouse with a terrace.
The club is situated on the Zuiderplas close to the Het Bossche Broek nature area, just outside 's-Hertogenbosch.
