Werft Hooksiel

Werft Hooksiel is a boatyard located at An der Werft 1 in Wangerland, near Hooksiel. The yard offers winter storage both in a hall of over 2000 sqm and on the open-air site, and with its own travel-lift and hydraulic trailer, boats up to 20 tonnes can be lifted and stored without crane assistance – year-round storage is also possible. The yard carries out crane service for lifting and launching, mast stepping and unstepping plus mast storage, spring and winter preparation, high-pressure cleaning of the underwater hull, hull and deck cleaning, painting and varnishing, antifouling, propeller replacement, work in steel, aluminium, GRP and wood, repairs and conversions of the interior, damage repair and insurance handling, rig inspection, gelcoat and fibreglass repair, and corrosion removal and surface treatment. Engine and electrical work, sails and covers, and hull wrapping are brokered to selected partner companies. The yard normally closes for operational holiday from 18 July to 9 August, when only emergency staffing is available.
