WSG 1962

WSG Wittenberg 1962 e.V. is a multi-branch watersports club (sailing, canoeing and motorboating) on the River Elbe at km 213, on the right bank in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The motorboat section's jetty is the lowest of the club's three berthing facilities.

The approach requires a water level of at least around 100 cm on the Wittenberg gauge to be comfortable; at lower levels boats should keep close to the jetty and avoid the club's anchor, which lies in line with the jetty marked by a yellow buoy. Guest berths (for boats up to 8 m) are marked with green signs, and the outermost berth is usually available. Berths are reserved via the Boatpark app, or otherwise by contacting the boathouse duty staff daily between 5 and 6 pm. A slipway with a winch rated up to 2.5 tonnes is available to guests by prior arrangement.

The facility offers toilets and showers, drinking water from any tap, electricity arranged by the boathouse duty staff, and waste disposal. There is parking for cars and boat trailers within the locked grounds, and the club provides 2 bicycles for guests. Two simple guest rooms and tent/caravan pitches with shower and toilet are also available, though without wastewater pump-out.

Central Lutherstadt Wittenberg can be reached on foot in about 15-20 minutes. A Netto supermarket lies about 2 km away along the B187 towards Jessen, and an Esso fuel station is in the same direction, about 2.4 km from the marina.
