About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Yacht-Club Löf is a club-owned pontoon marina at Moselle river kilometre 25.5 LU, sheltered behind a breakwater, offering guest berths for boats up to 15 metres with a water depth of about 1.6 metres. When approaching, it's recommended to come from downstream and stay in the middle of the fairway until just before the pontoon.
The harbourmaster is happy to assign a berth, which can also be arranged in advance by phone.
At the pontoon you'll find fresh water and a guest electricity connection (coin-operated), plus toilet and shower (coin-operated) aboard the club ship. There's a grocery option, with a supermarket 600 metres away in Alken and smaller shops directly in Löf, and you can dine at Hotel Lellmann, Hotel Traube, Gutsschänke Fries in Kattenes (1 km) and several other places.
Around Löf you can discover medieval castles such as Burg Thurant, Ehrenburg and Burg Elz, take a walk through the vineyards or cycle along the Moselle. A recommended hike leads from Löf via Nachtigallental to the romantic Mühlental in Kattenes and back along the river – about 7 km in total with 250 metres of elevation gain. A water-ski course lies 200 m downstream or 1000 m upstream. Tie up at the pontoon and walk the short distance into Löf for a well-earned meal.
