About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

Yachtclub Greetsiel is a tide-free, modern marina in the picturesque sielort town of Greetsiel on the Leybucht in western East Frisia. The marina has over 200 members and is run by a club founded in 1971.

You approach through the Wadden Sea between Borkum, Juist and Norderney, reaching the marina via the Leysiel lock and the nature-protected storage basin. The lock has seasonal operating hours based on the tide at Norderney and can be contacted on VHF channel 68. Guest sailors are always welcome and moor at finger pontoons or alongside the outer pontoon. Daily guest berth fees start at 14.00 EUR for boats up to 8 metres, rising to 45.00 EUR for boats over 20 metres; a visitor's tax of 2.60 EUR per person per day is also charged, along with metered electricity at 0.50 EUR/kWh. The season runs from May to October.

Electricity and water connections are available at the pontoons by arrangement with the harbourmaster. Showers and toilets are located at the landward end of the pontoon system near the mast crane, with additional toilets in the floating clubhouse, which also houses the harbourmaster's office.

Greetsiel is a charming sielort town, and the marina lies centrally within it, close to local sights and amenities.
