Yachthafen Maxau

Yachthafen Maxau is a river marina on the Rhine at km 362.65 on the right bank, run by the Motorboot-Club Karlsruhe (MBC). In the middle of the marina lies the club's own ship.

The entrance lies between two groynes with ample spacing, making the approach easy. At low water (Maxau gauge below 3.00 m) reduced depths may occur in the entrance. Around the harbour a depth of 1.80 metres is guaranteed. A speed limit of 5 km/h applies inside the marina. Guest berths are located at the end of the marina, to the left of the club ship along the left pontoon, marked by large signs on both sides. Approach by passing the left side of the island past the factory's unloading point, keep to the left all the way to the head pontoon, then turn right towards the guest berths – do not cut diagonally across the harbour, as there is a shallow sandbank. On arrival, report to the berth master, usually found on his boat right next to the sanitary building.

The marina has a sanitary building with toilets and showers. There is also a fuel station, open in summer Wednesday to Monday from 12:00 to 20:00 (closed Tuesdays); winter hours are available on request. In urgent cases, the harbour master can be contacted. There is no slipway within the marina itself, but the nearest boat ramp is a few hundred metres away at Pionierhafen (may be closed during high water).
