About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Yachthafen Unterhochstätt is an inland harbour on Lake Chiemsee in Grabenstätt, Germany, enclosed by wooded spits of land and moles that shelter the boats from waves off Weitsee and Chieminger Bucht. The marina was planned in 1967 and was extended and deepened in 1974/1975, allowing boats with a draught of 1.40-1.50 m to enter without difficulty, even at low water.
The entrance is narrow, marked with seamarks and position lights; inside the large harbour basin it is calm and safe even in rough weather. The marina is open weather-dependent from March to the end of October, with electricity and sanitary facilities normally available from mid-March. Note that for the 2024 season the marina is fully occupied, and neither wet nor dry berths are offered to visiting boats.
The marina has a sanitary building with showers and toilets, built in 1999/2000, and shore power at the berths since 2001 (the power distributors are switched off during high water above 1.50 m). There is a car park about 100 m from the entrance, behind a red-and-white barrier that only boat owners can open.
The marina is located by the Chiemsee beach campsite in Unterhochstätt, a short distance from Grabenstätt via the new bypass road. Plan your visit well in advance, as the marina is often fully booked.
