About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Stadlander Yachtclub Absen (SYA) runs a club marina in the nature reserve at Absen, a tidal harbour (Sielhafen) in Stadland. Boats up to 8 m berth at the small pontoon, boats up to 12 m at the large pontoon, and larger vessels at the sheet-pile wall as directed by the harbour master.
The harbour is only navigable 3 hours before and 2 hours after high tide, for boats with a draft of up to about 1.5 m. Guest sailors not part of the Freihafengemeinschaft pay €5 per night, plus an extra €2 per night if using shore power or taking on water. The harbour is staffed Monday-Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays when there is enough water - and every Saturday at 5 pm.
There is a shared toilet between the SYA and AWV clubs, and a waste station at the clubhouse (waste must be sorted). Showers can be used for a fee at the Gaststätte Tönjes. There is a barbecue area that guests are also welcome to use - please leave it clean. Fresh water can be taken on for a fee.
In Rodenkirchen, coming from Brake you'll find an Edeka on the left and a bit further a Netto with a bakery. In the town centre and towards Varel there are several bakeries and shops for everyday needs. Right by the harbour and in the town centre you'll find several restaurants, so there's something for every taste.
