About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Aggersund Havn is a small marina in the northern part of Vesthimmerland Municipality, in the village of Aggersund along the Limfjord. Nearby lies Aggersborg, home to Northern Europe's largest Viking fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Sailing through the narrows can be demanding: in westerly winds the eastbound current can reach up to 4 knots, making sailing difficult, and the small marina can only be entered by vessels with a draft of up to 1.2 metres at mean water level. Boats with greater draft are directed to the quay on the north side of the fjord, but be aware that mooring at Aggersund quay on the opposite side of the strait is prohibited, with fencing in place. The harbour structure south of the bridge is also carried by corroded piles, so caution is advised.
The marina offers electricity, fresh water, toilets and showers, plus access to boat equipment services.
Ashore, you'll find eateries on both sides of the Aggersund bridge, and the fjord offers good fishing opportunities, including herring and garfish. Come and discover this small, charming harbour close to the fjord's landmark and its rich Viking history.
