About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Sportboothafen Koch is located at the northern tip of the Großenbrode peninsula, right on the Fehmarnsund, with views of the Fehmarnsundbrücke bridge and the island of Fehmarn. The family-run marina has over 120 berths for sailing and motor boats, with a maximum water depth of 2.50 m in the harbour, and can be entered by boats with a draught of up to 2 metres.

Guest berths for boats passing through are marked with green signs, so you can quickly spot which berths are free. The season runs from 1 April to 31 October. A 16-tonne crane with a mast crane for launching and hauling out is available at short notice, and both indoor storage and open ground are available for winter storage on the marina's own property.

At the jetty there is a short walk to parking and a modern sanitary building with toilets and showers. The marina also offers free bicycles to borrow for trips ashore, a barbecue area, a playground for children, and a common room.

There is a bathing beach right by the harbour, and the marina is located about 4 km from the Großenbrode exit off the B207 — roughly an hour and a half's drive from Hamburg, an hour from Kiel, and 50 minutes from Lübeck. Tie up at one of the green-marked guest berths and enjoy the view of the Fehmarnsundbrücke.
