Anlegestelle Marktbreit

Anlegestelle Marktbreit is a small sports-boat harbour on the River Main in the Bavarian town of Marktbreit in Lower Franconia, located at around river kilometre 277. The harbour is part of a wider harbour system for the town, which also includes a shelter harbour and several landing points along the Main north of the historic town centre, and boat storage is possible at the far end of the marina.

Entry is possible from both the upstream and downstream side of the bridge at Marktbreit; on the downstream approach you should keep to the middle, while the upstream entrance has shallower water, and clearance height under the bridge should be noted. Boaters can moor as guests in Marktbreit's sports-boat harbour.

Right on the riverbank there is a recreation and sports area with a motorhome site offering power and water hook-ups, plus a swimming bay with a large lawn and shady trees. Along the cycle path there are lockable bike boxes and an e-bike charging station, and right next to the swimming bay is a landing point on the canoe trail known as the "Gelbe Welle".

Within walking distance lies Marktbreit's old town around the Maintor gate and Marktplatz, with its Renaissance-style town hall from 1579, the old Schustergasse lined with timber-framed and baroque merchant houses, and the historic "Löwen" inn, said to be Bavaria's second-oldest guesthouse.
