About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Beidenflether Segler-Verein von 1979 e.V. runs a small club marina in Beidenfleth on the river Stör, a tributary of the Elbe in Schleswig-Holstein.
Allow around 45-60 minutes from the Störsperrwerk barrier to the marina, which is the second berth upstream, past the ferry line and the silo. The Störsperrwerk is staffed 24/7 and opens as needed. None of the berths dry out at low water; near the 3rd/4th dolphin after the gangway it is a bit shallower, but with an even, trouble-free mud bottom. The deepest berths are found at the start of the pontoon system or further back. Free berths may be used, with mooring fees paid directly to the harbourmaster.
Power and water are available at the mooring poles, and there is a toilet building with free showers on the club grounds. Guests are welcome to use the barbecue and seating areas indoors and outdoors - just ask the harbourmaster. Free Wi-Fi is available (password from the harbourmaster), and free loaner bicycles are provided.
A good bakery and a grocery store are within walking distance, and there is also a restaurant in the village (self-catering is recommended though). In Beidenfleth you can also visit a camera museum, a rebuilt windmill now used as holiday accommodation, and take a trip on the Störfähre Else ferry. Tie up at the second berth upstream and walk into Beidenfleth to enjoy its charm and history.
