About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sportboothafen Itzehoe is run by Seglervereinigung Itzehoe and lies on the Stör river at Heiligenstedten, a quiet yet central location just past a bascule bridge. The marina has 52 berths, and guest berths are always available.
Approach is via the Elbe and the Stör river; the water depth on the Stör up to Itzehoe is at least approximately 2.5 m at low water. The bascule bridge at Heiligenstedten opens after two long horn signals or upon prior telephone notice, and the harbour is also reached via a lock that can be opened around two hours before high water – maximum vessel width is 3.80 m. If the lock cannot open immediately, you can moor at the waiting berth in front of it. On the starboard side, before and after the bridge, lies an SVI pontoon that can also be used at low water, though without sanitary facilities there.
The clubhouse offers toilets and showers, and there is a slipway for trailer boats as well as a crane able to lift vessels up to 10 tonnes. There is also a barbecue area on the grounds.
Within walking or cycling distance you'll find a restaurant and snack bar as well as grocery shopping options. About 500 metres from the marina is a petrol station, and a Watski chandlery lies around 2 km away. Moor at the SVI pontoon in Heiligenstedten and enjoy the quiet yet central spot on the Stör.
