Bootsanleger Schoden / Kanu SaarFari

This is a public canoe and rowing boat launch point on the river Saar in Schoden, at river kilometre 7.9, maintained by the Saar-Obermosel-Touristik tourist association. The site is located at Multi-Kulti Fun Beach and forms part of the scenic Wiltinger Saarbend natural area.

Exit from the water is on the right bank, and a rest area is available at the landing. The facility is freely accessible, with both rail and regular bus connections to the site, as well as accommodation options in Schoden.

On site you'll find a toilet and the Fun-Beach-Bar, with a large sun terrace right on the Saar cycle path overlooking the river. Here you can refuel with sausages, draught cider, home-baked cake or ice cream during your bike or canoe trip. Further dining options can be found in the village centre, just a few minutes' walk from the jetty.

Schoden is a small winegrowing village with an old wine tradition, and from the landing it's a short walk to the centre with more places to eat. Stop by Fun Beach and take in the view over the Saar valley as you plan the next stretch of your paddling or cycling trip.
