Bork Havn

Bork Havn is located in the southern part of Ringkøbing Fjord, close to the Tipperne bird reserve, and comprises a marina with space for around 290 recreational boats plus a fishing harbour and a section for houseboats. The harbour is municipally owned and dates back to 1933, when it was founded by the Bork Fishing Association.

Entry is via the marked channel in Falen Dyb, buoyed with green and red marks from 1 April to 15 November, with two leading lights showing a fixed red light guiding you in. A speed limit of 3 knots applies in both the approach channel and the harbour, and the largest vessels able to enter have a length of 15 metres, a beam of 4 metres and a draught of 1.7 metres. Water levels can change fairly quickly depending on wind direction, so deep-draught boats should stay within the marked channel.

Shore power is available at the berths, and the harbour offers toilets, showers, a crane for boats, and a slipway. On the west side of the harbour there are grill areas that guest sailors are welcome to use, plus a playground for children. Grocery shopping is also available near the harbour.

Once ashore, it's a short walk to Bork Vikingehavn, where Viking-age life comes alive, and to West Jutland's largest indoor playland set in an old cattle barn. Through summer a flea market runs every Sunday, and the popular Bork Festival is held annually.
