About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Camping De Badhoeve is a cosy family campsite with direct water access, located in the small village of Durgerdam on the edge of Amsterdam-Noord. The site sits with the Kinselmeer lake on one side and Amsterdam's IJmeer/IJsselmeer on the other, making it well suited for water sports enthusiasts, birdwatchers and anglers. There is a private jetty and a sheltered bathing area by the water, and guests can pitch a tent, caravan or motorhome with a view of or right beside the water. Check-in runs from 12:00 to 19:00, with check-out by 12:00.
At the welcoming reception you'll find a small camp shop and a play corner for the little ones. Right next to reception you can rent bicycles as well as paddleboards and kayaks. The toilet and shower facilities were fully renovated in 2011, and free wifi is available across the site. The cosy café/restaurant serves quick bites, lunch, dinner and drinks, and it's a nice spot to swap travel stories with other guests. There is also a football pitch and the option to rent boats and canoes.
The surroundings offer plenty to explore: from the campsite you can cycle or walk along the lakes to picturesque villages such as Marken and Volendam, while the historic fishing villages of Volendam, Edam and Monnickendam with their old harbours are all within easy reach. Amsterdam's city centre is about ten minutes away by bike.
