About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Porto di Alghero lies in the heart of the Riviera del Corallo on Sardinia's north-west coast, sheltered by the old Catalan town walls and just steps from the historic centre. Run by the Consorzio del Porto di Alghero, it is the largest marina on Sardinia's west coast with berths for 2,200 boats and a maximum length of 50 metres; maximum draft is 4.5 metres. The marina is open 24 hours a day and monitors VHF channel 9, where the Consorzio's rubber boat guides you to your berth on arrival and assists with mooring and casting off. At Banchina Dogana e Sanità, close to the old walls, the marina provides fresh water and electricity (single- and three-phase up to 63A/100kW) at the berth, along with toilets and showers. Nearby, partner businesses offer a mast crane and travel lift, boatyard services, an electrician and blacksmith, and a laundry for boats in transit. Alghero itself offers narrow lanes, Gothic-Catalan churches, old defensive walls and Aragonese palaces, plus several museums such as Museo Archeologico and Museo del Corallo, alongside plenty of cafés and restaurants in the town centre. Berth at Banchina Dogana e Sanità and walk the short distance into the historic centre to experience Alghero's atmosphere.
