About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 30 September 2026De Woudfennen is a small, cosy marina near the village of Boornzwaag in Friesland, situated on the Skarsterrijn – the through waterway between Tjeukemeer and Langweerder Wielen. The marina entrance lies about 250 metres from the Langweerder Wielen lake, and it is reportedly the only place in Boornzwaag where visiting sailors can moor. The surrounding village is today largely made up of holiday bungalow parks. There is room for both permanent berth holders and guest boats, and according to marina guides the harbour has around 20 berths accommodating vessels up to roughly 15 metres with a draught of up to 2 metres. The marina is located about 2 kilometres from Langweer. Electricity is available on the jetties, and there are several fixed water points for fresh water. Diesel is sold at the marina, and pump-out facilities for holding tanks are available. Sailors can use a launderette as well as a shower and toilet building. A café-restaurant called It Boathus is located at the marina – a recently renovated fish restaurant with a waterside terrace overlooking the Skarsterrijn. Moor at De Woudfennen and enjoy the tranquil Frisian waterway with a view over the Skarsterrijn from the restaurant terrace.
