About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Djupvik's harbor is an old Gotlandic fishing harbor that today also serves as a marina on Gotland's west coast, almost directly east of the bird island of Lilla Karlsö. The harbor lies next to an old fishing village with fishing huts dating from the late 1800s.
Guest boats are warmly welcomed, and at normal water level the harbor can offer about 3 metres of depth in the main part of the harbor. Water and electricity are available on the quays, and the 24-hour rate is 200 SEK, which includes a key to the service house — a further fee of 40 SEK applies for use of the two showers.
Ashore you'll find a modern service house with toilet, shower and washing machine. During the summer season the local harbor association also runs a small kiosk in the harbor selling a bit of everything.
Just a couple of hundred metres above the harbor lies Djupviks Hotell, with a restaurant and a good standard. Immediately north of the harbor is a lovely sandy beach well suited for swimming, and the coastline south of Djupvik — known as Ekstakusten — invites you to enjoy beautiful walks, bike rides or drives. From the harbor it is about 2 nautical miles out to Lilla Karlsö and around 4 nautical miles to Stora Karlsö. Moor up in this beautiful old fishing harbor and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere along Ekstakusten.
