Doverodde Havn

Doverodde Havn is a small free port with room for around 100 boat berths, beautifully located in a scenic and culturally interesting area down by the Limfjord in Thy. During the sailing season the harbour is full of life and activity for both children and adults.

At the entrance you can see the 7,000-8,000-year-old stone age coastal slopes, and the depth in the harbour is around 2-2.3 metres. The harbour offers guest berths, and the harbour fee is paid via a day envelope in the sailing club's clubhouse.

The harbour offers public toilet and shower facilities as well as a sailing club room with kitchen facilities provided by the local boat club. There is wireless internet within the harbour area, shore power for the boats, an environmental station with pump-out for waste water available to both local and visiting sailors, plus a slipway, bike rental and cosy barbecue areas. The harbour has held the Blue Flag since 1991 as a special sign of quality for environment and facilities.

Just a five-minute walk from the harbour lies the beautiful, well-preserved merchant's yard from 1848 with its landing stage, bearing witness to the time when Doverodde was a centre for the grain and cattle trade with England. An experience centre has been established around the merchant's yard, and from the silo there is a magnificent view across the harbour and landscape.
