About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Ebeltoft Havn is a lively harbour in the middle of the historic market town of Ebeltoft, owned by Syddjurs Municipality. The harbour consists of two separate basins: to the north the traffic and marina harbour with berths for recreational boats and guest sailors, and to the south the charming, still-active fishing harbour. The harbour lies within the beautiful natural surroundings of Mols Bjerge National Park, just steps from the town's cosy streets.
The west-facing concrete pier accommodates larger vessels up to 45 metres in length and 10 metres in beam with a draught of 4.5 metres, while the pier reserved for guests has room for boats up to 50 feet with a draught of 3 metres — there are also two floating pontoons to the east. There are no dedicated guest berths as such, but you can safely moor wherever a green sign is displayed; the system works well. As many guest sailors call at the harbour each summer, it's a good idea to arrive early in the day.
At the harbour you'll find good toilet facilities, showers, drinking water and electricity on the pontoons (paid via a machine on site), plus marine diesel for sale at the harbour office. There is a paid slipway, a mast crane, laundry facilities, pump-out for holding tanks, and several waste-sorting stations. For families there is a barbecue area with three units and a playground with activities, both within walking distance.
