Färjestadens hamn

Färjestaden harbour is a municipal guest harbour on the west coast of Öland, directly opposite Kalmar, in the town of Färjestaden. The harbour offers around 40 guest berths at the innermost part of the southern basin for boats of varying sizes, with jetties fitted with Y-boom moorings. If your boat is over 27 metres long, you should contact the harbour host in advance.

A harbour host is present during the summer season and can otherwise be reached by phone. A trailer slipway is located in the northern part of the harbour, and a mast crane in the southern part. Diesel can be bought at a filling station about 200 metres from the harbour.

As a guest sailor you have access to showers and toilets in separate rooms, a washing machine and tumble dryer, and a waste/recycling station at no extra charge. One of the jetties also has a pump-out facility, and shore power is available at the berths. Within the harbour area there is also a playground, and bike rental can be found about 1,000 metres away along Färjestaden's main street.

Right next to the harbour lies a fine sandy beach with a bathing jetty, and several good restaurants plus a popular bakery are nearby. The ferry Dessi runs between Färjestaden and Kalmar roughly once an hour, and it's a short walk to a shopping centre and bus connections across the rest of Öland. Moor up in Färjestaden and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Kalmar Sound.
