About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Frederikshavn Marina is a modern marina located south of Frederikshavn's large commercial and ferry port, about one kilometre from the town centre of Frederikshavn. The marina is home to Frederikshavn Sailing Club and offers a wide range of facilities for both permanent berth holders and visiting sailors.
The marina can be entered both day and night. The pier-head lights are lit from 1 April to 15 November, during which period a green and a red marker buoy also mark the entrance. A speed limit of 3 knots applies within the harbour and at the entrance. Guest berths are located at the innermost part of the southern basin, where a service pontoon is reserved for visiting sailors. Note that the waters north of the marina towards the Naval Station are not navigable and have a depth of only about 1 metre.
The harbour has a service building with shower and toilet facilities as well as a laundry, although this is closed from 1 December to 31 March – during winter you are directed to a public toilet, and a key to the shower can be obtained from the harbour master. There is also a clubhouse with a lounge for guest sailors, view pontoons with barbecue areas, a crane for boat lifting, a pump-out facility for chemical toilets, shore power at the berths, wireless internet, and 24-hour parking for motorhomes and caravans. The restaurant Katfizk is also located within the marina.
