About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Neppens Havn is a small marina in Bangsbostrand, the southernmost harbour in the town of Frederikshavn. The harbour is run by the association Neppens Havns Venner, founded in 1998, and has a long-term agreement with Frederikshavn Fiskeriforening for its maintenance. Today around 30 active boats are kept there, mostly small craft used for recreational boating, as commercial fishing off Frederikshavn has become sparse.
It is above all the harbour's bathing jetty that makes Neppens Havn a popular destination. The jetty is well used year-round by locals and visitors alike – winter swimmers appreciate the chance for a dip from the jetty, and in summer it is popular for a refreshing swim, with water depths of 1.5-2.5 metres in the bathing area. The harbour previously underwent a major renovation costing over 600,000 Danish kroner, supported by, among others, the Spar Nord Fonden.
Many people pass by Neppens Havn on their coastal walks, where the idyllic mood and the lively outdoor life around the bathing jetty create a cosy atmosphere. Take a stroll by and experience the small harbour's special calm and the popular bathing jetty that locals have enjoyed for years.
