About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hjo Guest Harbour lies right in the small wooden town of Hjo on the eastern shore of Lake Vättern and is a well-organised, popular guest harbour within walking distance of most of the town. The harbour dates back to 1851–1855, and the old harbour warehouse and harbourmaster's house are still standing. The harbour has 14 berths with pontoons plus 6–8 berths along the quay, and additional vacant spots are often marked with green signage. Harbour depth is around 2–3.5 metres.
The guest harbour is open from mid-May to mid-September, with a high season from mid-June to mid-August when the harbour office is staffed at set hours; outside office hours the harbour host can be reached by phone. The harbour fee is 240 SEK per night for boats under 12 metres and 330 SEK for boats over 12 metres, while electricity costs 30 SEK per night. A short-stay berth of up to three hours costs 70 SEK, and payment is made via Swish. The harbour also has a boat ramp built in 2016, 4.5 metres wide with a 9-tonne capacity, where launching costs 50 SEK.
In the harbour you'll find toilets, showers and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer, plus fresh water and shore power on the pontoons. There is a fuel station within the harbour area, and the guest harbour actually stays open all year round thanks to de-icing equipment that keeps it ice-free in winter.
