About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026

Gjøvik Båtforening's Gamlehavna is the older of the association's two harbours and lies centrally in the town of Gjøvik on the shore of Lake Mjøsa, just south of Skibladnerhuset. The association was founded in 1946, and Gamlehavna was originally built for boats up to 23 feet, while the newer Nyhavna further south was established in 1994 using rock from Olympic blasting works.

You enter from the east, just south of Skibladnerhuset, with entry lights marking both sides of the approach. The two harbours together offer 10-15 guest berths, located innermost in the harbour near the eatery/clubhouse. Guest berths are free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that mooring at Skibladnerhuset itself is not permitted.

The harbour offers toilets, showers and freshwater on the pier, as well as shore power and pump-out facilities for holding tanks. Fuel is also available. During the season a kiosk and an eatery are open, offering everything from ice cream and soft drinks to a proper dinner.

The harbour sits right by Skibladnerbrygga, Havnepuben and Skibladnerhuset in the heart of Gjøvik, giving you easy access to the town's life and services. Tie up in Gamlehavna and enjoy the historic atmosphere right by the water.
