About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Gjøvik Båtforening's Nyhavna is the southernmost of the association's two harbour sections on Lake Mjøsa, centrally located in Gjøvik right next to Skibladnerbrygga. Nyhavna was established during the blasting works in Røverdalen (Fjellhallen) ahead of the 1994 Olympics, when the blasted rock was used to build the harbour's breakwater out into Mjøsa.
You sail in between the pier and the breakwater, south of Gjøvik Lighthouse. The guest berths are located innermost in the harbour next to the clubhouse/food outlet, and they are free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that mooring at Skibladnerhuset is not allowed.
The harbour offers shore power, freshwater at the berths, showers, a universally designed toilet by the clubhouse, plus pump-out facilities and fuel. In season both a kiosk and a restaurant are open, selling everything from ice cream and soft drinks to a proper dinner.
The harbour sits close to central Gjøvik, alongside Skibladnerbrygga and Havnepuben. Tie up at Nyhavna and enjoy the easy walk into town and the relaxed harbour atmosphere on Lake Mjøsa.
