About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Hindersöstallarna is a small marina run by a non-profit harbour association, located on the eastern side of Hertsöskatan in Luleå. The marina has around 260 berths and serves as a gateway to the extensive Luleå archipelago, including the island of Hindersön, which in winter is reached via Sweden's longest ice road.
The harbour basin is about 1.7 metres deep in the shallowest areas (average depth 1.9 metres), and berths range in width from 2.5 to 4.0 metres. Most berths are used by association members, though a number are also rented out, and the association handles enquiries about guest berths and shore power on the jetties.
On the north pier there is a boat launching ramp and a road ramp that in winter serves as the descent to the ice road out to Hindersön, Långön and Storbrändön; both are maintained by Luleå Municipality. There is no fuel pump at Stallarna itself, but the neighbouring harbour of Lövskär offers a fuel station with short-stay refuelling.
Near the harbour, a larger public parking area has been established, making it easier to reach the area – both for summer boaters and for winter snowmobile traffic heading into the archipelago. The site serves as a natural starting point for excursions into the Luleå archipelago.
