About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Hörte Hamn is a small, cosy fishing harbour on the south coast of Skåne, with roots dating back to the Viking age. The harbour is run by the non-profit Hörte Hamnförening, which over the years has renovated the old harbour house and the eastern pier with support from Leader Söderslätt, Skurups kommun and Skurups Sparbank.
You can reach the harbour by bike, bus or car, and there is parking on the eastern side of the harbour. A slipway allows launching and hauling out of boats, and work is ongoing to improve the quay edges and create more berths.
In the renovated harbour house an approved treatment plant has been installed with a kitchen, shower and toilets. On the western side of the harbour there are several grill spots where visitors can barbecue themselves, plus tables and benches for picnics. Café and restaurant Hörte Brygga is housed in the harbour building and is open daily during high season, while Hörte Lanthandel offers groceries through the summer into September.
The harbour lies along the Sydkustleden cycle route between Abbekås and Beddingestrand, and just east of the old fishing village you'll find Sweden's southernmost deciduous forest. Tie up, take the short walk to Hörte Brygga and enjoy the view over the harbour with a cup of coffee in hand.
