About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Smygehamn harbour lies at Smygehuk, the southernmost point of Sweden and the whole Scandinavian Peninsula, in Trelleborg Municipality. The harbour is a fishing and pleasure-boat marina built in a former limestone quarry that was filled in and turned into a harbour. There are 93 berths in total, made up of 87 pontoon berths and 6 quay berths.
The harbour depth is around 2 metres, though sand and seaweed drift as well as low water can occur, meaning the depth cannot always be guaranteed. Payment of the guest berth fee, along with access to electricity, water, toilets and showers, is handled through the TallyWeb payment system by scanning a QR code.
At the marina you have access to toilets, showers, electricity and fresh water via the TallyWeb system. Right by the harbour you will also find a cosy café, an ice-cream kiosk, a fish smokehouse and a boatyard specialising in wooden boats. The area also offers restaurants to choose from.
Within walking distance is Köpmansmagasinet, which in summer houses a tourist information office, a café and exhibitions. The area also features Smygehuk Lighthouse and the statue "Famntaget", and in summer the place comes alive with art exhibitions, events and flea markets by the harbour. Smygehuk attracts between 250,000 and 300,000 visitors every summer. During the summer months you can also ride for free on the red double-decker Palmbussen from Trelleborg town centre to Smygehuk. Come and berth at Sweden's southernmost point and experience the charming atmosphere of Smygehuk.
