About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Höviksnäs Båtförening is located in the heart of the old village of Höviksnäs on Tjörn, sheltered from all winds. The marina has around 235 private berths with booms of varying length, and the harbour depth is 1.5-2.5 metres. The marina is open from 1 May to 31 September.
Entry is between the green channel marker and the breakwater's buoys; the anchor stones by the breakwater lie at about 2 metres depth, and anchoring and swimming are prohibited in the harbour basin. Guest berths are available at the breakwater, at the end of jetties 4, 5 and 6, and at berths marked with green/red signs, where a green sign shows an available spot. Information and contact details for the harbour host are found at the clubhouse.
The marina offers water and electricity on the pontoons, toilets and a sauna at the clubhouse, a slipway for boat trailers, and pump-out for holding tanks outside the breakwater. An environmental station is located at the clubhouse and is open during summer, and parking is available close to the marina.
About 2 km from the marina is ICA Nära at Häggvall, offering groceries, fuel and gas. A bus stop with connections to Göteborg, Stenungsund and Skärhamn is about 500 metres from the marina, and the family-friendly Låka beach lies the same distance away, surrounded by pleasant nature trails. Tie up at the breakwater or a guest berth, and walk the 500 metres to Låka for a swim.
