About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Horns hamn is a small guest harbour at Horn, at the southern end of Lake Åsunden, where the Kinda Canal ends. The harbour is run by Södra Kinda Båtklubb and is one of eight guest harbours along the 80 km long Kinda Canal, which connects Linköping in the north with Horn and Hycklinge in the south.
The harbour offers guest berths for visiting boats, and Horn has historically served as the final destination for canal traffic since the canal was inaugurated in the 1870s.
At the jetty you'll find fresh water, showers and toilets, as well as a pump-out facility for your boat's holding tank.
Horn is a small locality with around 470-495 inhabitants and serves as an important service town for southern Kinda. The town has a church dating from the 1750s, and the surroundings offer a varied landscape of deciduous forest, meadows and coniferous woods along the canal, where herons can be spotted near the nearby Lake Ämmern. Berth at Horns hamn and enjoy the tranquility at the end of the historic Kinda Canal.
