About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Jachthaven De Lemsterpoort lies right next to the historic town of Sloten in Friesland, in the heart of the great Frisian lake district. The marina has 300 permanent berths and 50 guest berths and serves as a natural gateway to Slotermeer, De Grote Brekken, Tjeukemeer, Heegermeer and the IJsselmeer, all reachable within 30-60 minutes.
Maximum depth in the marina is about 1.90 m. Berths are generally fitted with water and electricity, and the marina has a boat hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 24 tonnes as well as a mast crane for stepping and unstepping masts.
A new sanitary building from 2019 offers 10 showers (coin-operated, 1 euro) and toilet facilities. Right next to the marina is a small playground for children, and the harbourmaster lives on site.
It's just a two-minute walk over the footbridge to the centre of Sloten, where you'll find restaurants, cosy cafés with terraces, shops and a supermarket. Berth at the guest pontoon and stroll into the medieval town with its two surviving water gates.
