About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026De Turfvaart is a cosy marina on the Leursche Vaart, close to the centre of Etten-Leur, with direct access to the waterways towards Breda, Oosterhout, Biesbosch, Dinteloord and Volkerak. The marina offers spacious berths with a side jetty, a motorhome pitch and an attractive pavilion on the edge of Etten-Leur, surrounded by countryside and cycling and walking routes.
If you follow the West-Brabant Vaarroute, turn off the Mark between Zevenbergen and Zwartenberg into the Leursche Vaart towards Etten-Leur - the canal is about 5 km long, navigable to a draught of 2.00 m with a maximum speed of 6 km/h. Since 2020 boats pass through the open turning lock (keersluis); depth in the lock is 1.80 m at normal water level and 1.60 m at low water. Note that mooring is prohibited within the Leursche Vaart itself. Near the Molen De Lelie there is a turning basin where the guest harbour begins, with a 200-metre quay and, at the end, a 40-metre wooden jetty for mooring. The marina is open Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 22:00, closed Monday and Tuesday.
Behind the pavilion you'll find showers and toilets through the blue door - ask at the bar if it's locked. A washing machine and dryer can be borrowed via the bar, and there is a dump station for chemical toilets, household waste, glass and paper. Permanent berths have access to shore power and water, and free wifi is available throughout.
