About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Jachthaven Lauwersmeer in Oostmahorn lies directly on the beautiful Lauwersmeer within Lauwersmeer National Park, far from traffic noise, and offers 360 berths for both permanent and visiting boaters. The marina has a draft of 2.5 metres or more and lies just two nautical miles from the lock at Lauwersoog, giving access to the Wadden Sea and the North Sea.
You can moor alongside or at one of the many finger jetties, well suited to boats that are difficult to manoeuvre, large catamarans, skûtsjes and former working vessels. The guest rate is €1.60 per metre of boat, with a 10% discount for a week's stay and 15% for two weeks or more. The marina is open 365 days a year, with supervision.
On the jetties you'll find 16-amp power connections and freshwater points, plus charging points for electric boating and electric cars. The marina has a clean sanitary building with underfloor heating, a slipway for trailerable boats, and a Manitou crane/boat trolley that can lift boats up to 20 tonnes, a small chandlery, a laundry with professional washing and drying machines, free and stable wifi, and fuel (diesel). The cosy restaurant 'Het Raadsel van de Wadden' is located at the marina and is open all year round.
From here it's a short sail to Schiermonnikoog and the Wadden Sea, and the marina is a popular stopover on the way to the German Bight.
