About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Jachthaven Oosterhaven is quietly situated yet right in the heart of Groningen, just a 5-minute walk from the city centre. The marina has around 70 berths and lies directly on the staande mastroute, the waterway for sailboats with masts over six metres. The harbour is 4 metres deep, making it suitable for deep-draught vessels too. There are no permanent seasonal berths for sloepen. The pontoons offer water and electricity, plus a charging point for electric boats. You can moor in a box berth or alongside the quay wall. The marina provides good sanitary facilities with toilets and showers, as well as a washing machine and dryer. There is a pump-out point for the holding tank and bilge water, free WiFi throughout the harbour, and a chandlery right next to the marina, where you also pay your harbour fees. Just a 5-minute walk from the harbour you'll be standing beneath the Martinitoren, and it's 8 minutes to Central Station. A supermarket is also 5 minutes away, and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Moor up at the quay wall and stroll the short distance into Groningen's charming city centre.
