About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Jachthavens Blauwestad runs two marinas on the Oldambtmeer in the Dutch province of Groningen: Jachthaven Midwolda (since 2007) on the lake's north shore with more than 200 berths in boxes of 4, 6 and 8 metres plus spots for boats of 9-13 metres, and Havenkwartier Blauwestad (since 2013) on the south side in the heart of the town area, with 140 permanent berths in boxes of 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 metres as well as quay berths.

The sailing season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Besides seasonal and annual berths, a temporary/guest berth can be rented by the day, week or month - from €6 per day for a 5-metre boat, €30 per week and €75 per month. At Havenkwartier Blauwestad, access to the pontoons requires a SEP-card, which is also used to pay for water, electricity and pump-out.

Both marinas offer toilets and showers, drinking water taps, shore power, waste containers, pump-out for holding tanks, a free trailer slipway and free parking. Midwolda also has free wifi, pitches for motorhomes and a large sandy beach with a playground right next to the marina. Havenkwartier Blauwestad has Restaurant Blauwestad with a waterside terrace, pop-up cafés serving coffee and ice cream, and a public beach with a playground.

Near Midwolda a grocery shop is 1.3 km away, and several restaurants and cafés are within a few kilometres. Havenkwartier Blauwestad is linked to Winschoten, with its shops and restaurants, via the 800-metre Pieter Smit brug foot and cycle bridge.
