About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Jachthaven Midwolda is a spacious marina on the northern edge of the Oldambtmeer in the eastern part of the province of Groningen. The marina has existed since 2007 and offers over 200 berths in boxes of 4, 6 and 8 metres, plus a number of spots for boats between 9 and 13 metres.
The sailing season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Besides seasonal and annual berths, you can rent a temporary berth by day, week or month – from EUR 6 per day for a 5-metre boat. There are also shore spots and special catamaran berths near the beach on the western side of the marina.
The marina offers free parking, a free slipway, free wifi, toilets and showers, a chemical toilet dump point, a pump-out station for waste water tanks and bilge water, electricity connections and drinking water taps, plus waste containers. Right next to the marina is a large sandy beach with play equipment.
Directly beside the marina lies Midwolda beach, with a swimming area, sunbathing lawn and a promenade. Within a few kilometres you'll find several eateries, including Brasserie Old School by the Blauwe Passage lock, as well as Pannenkoekenhuis d'Olle Smidse and other places in Midwolda and Oostwold. The Dagwinkel Midwolda grocery store is 1.3 km from the marina on foot, while several supermarkets are within cycling distance in Scheemda and Winschoten. Berth at Jachthaven Midwolda and stroll straight to the beach and playground just outside the pontoons.
