About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Jakobsbergs Båtsällskap (JBS) is a non-profit boating club with its own harbour on Lake Mälaren in Järfälla municipality, beautifully situated on the island next to the local waterworks. The club has around 800 members and owns its harbour outright, with berths for up to 270 boats, plus more than 125 trailer spaces and around 40 beach spots for rowing boats and small motorboats.
The harbour consists of six piers with access to electricity and water for mooring motor and sailing boats of varying sizes up to 12 metres in length and 3.5 metres in beam. The club offers berths and winter storage for boats up to 8 tonnes. Between piers 1 and 2 there is a pump-out station, installed with a state LOVA grant from the county administrative board — it is open to all boats, even those not based at the club.
The club also has good facilities for its members: a large clubhouse with a function room, a mast house with a mast crane, a harbour office, a workshop, a watchtower and storage space.
If you have a smaller boat and are looking for a well-run club marina on Lake Mälaren, you can take advantage of the solid technical facilities and the working pump-out station, which is open to all boaters.
