Kattviks Hamn

Kattviks Hamn is a small, former fishing harbour on Laholmsbukten on the west coast of the Bjäre peninsula, in Båstad municipality. Tucked between apple orchards and steep coastal hills, the harbour has kept its original character from its days as a fishing village, with small jetties and shallow water. Today it is mainly used by leisure boats, kayakers and swimmers, but it remains the heart of the village. Kattvik is officially classified as a small locality, so any change here is felt clearly in everyday life.

At the harbour you'll find a public toilet, otherwise facilities are fairly basic without further services. Just above the pier there's a small café serving waffles – a pleasant stop after time on the water.

The harbour is a natural starting point for kayak trips, and from here you can also hike along the coast to Hovs Hallar. There are good opportunities for an evening swim straight off the jetties, and the surrounding area invites a relaxed day by the sea.
