About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Kolding Yacht Marina lies at the head of Kolding Fjord and is one of Denmark's biggest marinas with around 1,000 berths, split between Harbour South and Harbour North. Sailing in through the fjord you pass Hotel Kolding Fjord, the Nursing Museum and the art museum Trapholt to starboard.
The depth at the entrance is at least 2.5 metres right up to 50 metres from shore. The harbour office is open 1/4-31/10 Monday-Thursday 09:00-10:30, Friday 07:00-10:00 and 13:00-17:00, closed weekends and holidays.
The marina offers electricity and water at all berths and a coin-operated laundry. In Harbour South you can fill up with petrol and diesel, and there is a chandlery offering boat equipment and canopy repairs. Well-placed barbecue spots are available, along with a restaurant in Harbour South, toilets (Harbour South got a new toilet building in 2009) and good shower facilities. The crane area is used for lifting boats in and out, and trailer boats can be launched and hauled at the slipway. The playground is suited to the youngest children, and there is parking at the marina.
It is only a 15-20 minute walk along the stream from Marina South into central Kolding, where you'll find Koldinghus castle with its Kæmpetårnet tower, Den geografiske Have gardens and the art museum Trapholt. Buses run from Kolding bus station to Legoland. Moor up in Harbour South or Harbour North and stroll into Kolding's inviting town centre.
