About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Kolding Yacht Marina lies at the innermost point of Kolding Fjord and is one of Denmark's largest marinas with roughly 1,000 berths, split between Harbour North and Harbour South. Sailing in through the fjord you pass Hotel Kolding Fjord, the Sygeplejemuseet and the Trapholt art museum to starboard.
The depth in the inlet is at least 2.5 metres all the way to 50 metres from shore. The harbour office is open 1 April-31 October, Monday-Thursday 09:00-10:30, Friday 07:00-10:00 and 13:00-17:00, closed weekends and public holidays.
All berths have electricity and water, and there is a laundry on site. In Harbour South you can fuel up with petrol and diesel, and there is also a chandlery offering canvas repairs. Well-placed barbecue spots are available for grilling, and there is a restaurant in Harbour South for a more organised meal. The shower and bathing facilities are good, and Harbour South got a new toilet building in 2009. The playground is limited to activities for the very youngest, and parking is available at the marina.
From here it is about a 15-20 minute walk along the stream from Marina Syd and along the harbour from the north side into the centre of Kolding, where you'll find Koldinghus, Den geografiske Have and Trapholt. Moor up, take the 15-20 minute walk into town, and enjoy Koldinghus and Den geografiske Have.
