About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Kozakkenhaven is located in Veessen, in the Hank – the old side arm of the River IJssel – and is a modern transit marina with room for about 35 boats as well as 10 specially arranged motorhome pitches. The harbour was newly opened in January 2018 as part of the Rivierfront Veessen project.
Payment for berthing is preferably made via the harbour's website using a smartphone; alternatively, cash payment can be made using an envelope from the postbox by the gangway to the pontoon, or to the harbour master who usually comes by around dinner time. Payment must be made by 17:00 for each overnight stay, and on the day of departure the pitch must be vacated before 12:00. A guest berth for boats costs EUR 1.35 per metre per night, plus EUR 3 for electricity and EUR 1.50 tourist tax per person. It is not possible to reserve a guest berth in advance, but there is usually room for boating guests.
The marina offers sanitary facilities in the grey container unit on the pontoon with free toilets and showers, free drinking water and wifi. Electricity is available for a fee, along with facilities to dispose of household waste and empty toilet cassettes and grey water. A slipway can be used for EUR 5 per launch (free for rowing boats on a hand trailer).
Veessen is a picturesque village on the calmly flowing River IJssel with a thrift shop and a place where fresh bread is sold daily.
