About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Lauerhavna is a natural harbour on the island of Nordre Lauer, located at the southern tip of the Hvaler archipelago, close to the Swedish border. The harbour is a former fishing port that has today become a popular destination for sailors, not least thanks to its short distance to Skjærhalden.
You can enter from the west between Søndre and Nordre Lauer, though it is recommended to enter from the northeast, as this approach is easier. Watch out for a couple of shallows inside the harbour, one of which is marked. Behind the breakwaters the depth is around 4 metres, and the harbour offers shelter in almost all weather conditions with room for many boats.
Within the harbour you will find a toilet and a waste container for rubbish. There is also a bathing spot nearby, inviting a refreshing swim after your sail.
Drop anchor in Lauerhavna and experience the calm of a former fishing island that today serves as a cherished retreat for sailors in the Hvaler archipelago.
