About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Livø Lystbådehavn is a small marina on the island of Livø in the Limfjord, where hospitality and tranquility take center stage. The marina is located on the south side of the island, at the same spot where the ferry from Rønbjerg docks, with room for about 30 boats, making it one of the smallest harbours in Himmerland.
The entrance channel is neither lit nor marked, so approach should only be made in clear, visible weather. The ferry berth along the outer breakwater is reserved for the ferry, while mooring buoys are available in the outer harbour, where you moor bow-to the jetty. If you prefer to anchor, good options exist southeast of the harbour.
The harbour offers newly renovated toilet and shower facilities as well as picnic tables and benches, and there are several fire pits around the harbour area, some fitted with grates for cooking. A short walk from the jetty takes you to Livø By, home to the local shop café, where you can taste the local beer Livøl, enjoy a lunch dish, and buy ice cream and basic groceries.
Within walking distance you'll also find a playground, Livø Holiday Center, and Livø Farm with the island's 35 cows, while trails lead further through forest, heath, and farmland – including toward Livø Tap, home to a large colony of harbour seals. Tie up at this small, peaceful harbour and experience the island's rare silence, where cars are simply not allowed.
