About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Bootsbau Speck is a family-run boatyard and marina on the Main river near Frankfurt, tracing its roots back to 1919 when the company was founded in Leitmeritz. After relocating to Frankfurt in 1947, the first jetty was built in Schwanheim in 1954, and a slipway was added in 1968.
The marina offers 162 berths, both on the water and ashore, and today runs as a pure family business with 11 employees.
The yard provides full service including repairs, conversions and fitting of equipment on GRP, aluminium, wood and steel boats, plus complete engine servicing and electronics work backed by an extensive spare-parts stock. A slipway is available for launching and hauling out, and boats can be stored on the yard premises in four storage halls plus an open-air winter storage area. Note that the company premises are closed on weekends from December through February.
The yard is located in the Frankfurt/Main area with branches in Offenbach, Griesheim and Schwanheim. Stop by Bootsbau Speck if your boat needs servicing, engine work or a permanent berth in the Frankfurt area.
