About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026City-Marina Cuxhaven is centrally located in the German coastal town of Cuxhaven, sheltered from wind and waves with an idyllic, inner-city harbour atmosphere. The marina offers guest berths year-round at floating pontoons, as well as permanent berths for local boat owners.
Entry is via the "Alten Hafen", and the bascule bridge opens on request every half hour to hour between 05:00 and 23:00 – contact the bridge on VHF channel 69 "Schleuse Cuxhaven" or by phone. Outside these hours the bridge can be opened in emergencies. No reservation is needed for guest berths, and for short stays it is also possible to raft up alongside other boats. Berth fees are paid to the harbourmaster during office hours, or otherwise via a form and letterbox at the harbour container.
The harbourmaster's office is on site, and the sanitary facilities with toilets, showers and electricity are located at the end of the harbour basin – access is via a chip card preloaded with 5.00 €, which also covers water. Right next to the marina is the Boots- und Schiffswerft Cuxhaven, offering a slipway, mast crane, chandlery and service. On the marina grounds you'll find Restaurant WAL, serving fresh dishes from midday to evening and where you also register your berth booking. Parking spaces are also available to rent by the hour, day or month.
Cuxhaven's town centre is just a 5-minute walk from the marina.
